Ashley Tisdale's tweet

Ashley Tisdale is the latest celebrity to proclaim their love for In-N-Out in the oh-so-hot-right-now Twitterverse. Yesterday the “High School Musical” singer/actress sent the above tweet while at rehearsals with her band.

Hmm … three days in a row. That’s not just love — that’s definitely addiction. But who could blame her?

In-N-Out applicants in Mesa, Arizona

Some 600 to 800 people showed up Tuesday to apply for 60 open positions at a soon-to-open In-N-Out in Mesa, Ariz., according to local media reports. People began lining up for the job fair around 4:45 a.m.

“In two days we are expecting to interview about 1,500 people,” Division Manager Ray Gonzales told the East Valley Tribune.

Part-time hires will make $10 an hour with the opportunity to earn a 25 cent merit raise within the first 100 hours, Gonzales told the Arizona Republic.

The new store, located at the Fiesta Mall, will be Mesa’s third In-N-Out.

In-N-Out Burger by Stacy Perman

BusinessWeek writer Stacy Perman’s book “In-N-Out Burger: A Behind-the-Counter Look at the Fast-Food Chain That Breaks All the Rules” was released today, but you’ll probably have to order a copy online if you want to read it. Here in Los Angeles, not a single Borders or Barnes & Noble had a copy on their shelves, so we’ve ordered a copy on Amazon.com.

Meanwhile, you can read an excerpt from the book at BusinessWeek.com.

Taylor Swift Loves In-N-Out

Taylor Swift on the cover of Dolly

Young country-pop singer/songwriter Taylor Swift appears on the May 2009 cover of Australian teen magazine Dolly, holding a familiar-looking medium soda. Well, familiar to U.S. audiences anyway — not sure what the Aussies will think of it.

Miley Cyrus Loves In-N-Out

March 23, 2009

Miley Cyrus, along with her sister Brandi and their grandma, drove through the North Hollywood In-N-Out today on their way to a recording studio in Burbank.

And while obviously the teen pop starlet loves In-N-Out, perhaps the most remarkable thing about the video above is just how much In-N-Out’s employees love Miley Cyrus. They crowd the pickup window to talk to her, and the poor girl has to sign a stack of paper hats before she can leave with her food.

Aren’t people in L.A. supposed to play it cool when they encounter famous people?

Double-Doubles A Hit With Triple-A Ballplayer

March 18, 2009

In-N-Out fan Drew MaciasA few seasons ago, the Padres told minor-league outfielder Drew Macias that he needed to bulk up — and fast.

“Basically I was on a regimen where I had to eat every three hours,” Macias told the San Diego Union-Tribune. “I remember the first couple of weeks, I felt like throwing up every time I’d eat, because I was like, ‘I don’t want to eat anymore.’

“I was brought up to believe: Don’t eat because you’re bored. But I had to just eat. Every time I walked by an ice cream store, I’d eat. Every time I walked by In-N-Out, I’d eat a burger.”

Luckily for Macias, there’s an In-N-Out right near the entrance to the Padres’ spring training facilities in Peoria, Ariz. Could Double-Doubles be to the 26-year-old outfielder what spinach is to Popeye? Well, he’s hit two home runs so far this month, and one of them was a 410-foot shot off Baseball America‘s No. 10 overall prospect, Rangers pitcher Neftali Perez.
