I don’t think we’ll get palm trees here in the Salt Lake area. They may not survive the harsh winters we get.

Palm trees grow very well in St. George and some like California and Mexican fan palms can be seen growing wild near ditches and streams. If you visit St. George or Washington you would never think you were in Utah. The mountains around St. George get snow in the winter, but valley snow is rare and melts fast.
