The April 24 opening of In-N-Out’s Tucson, Arizona, location — which saw drive-thru lines estimated at 100 cars deep — was the biggest yet for the burger chain, Inside Tucson Business reported Friday.
“We did have high expectations for Tucson, so being the busiest opening wasn’t a total surprise,” Carl Van Fleet, In-N-Out’s vice president of planning and development told the publication. “But the numbers did exceed our expectations.”
Another restaurant is planned for nearby Marana, about 20 minutes north of Tucson. The company hopes to break ground this summer and open shortly after the new year.
